138 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason there is no radiology on-call service at weekends or at night in either Portiuncula Hospital or Roscommon County Hospital; the action he is taking to address this issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23736/03]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Martin):

The provision of hospital services for persons resident in counties Mayo and Roscommon is a matter for the Western Health Board. My Department has asked its chief executive officer to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
