179 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the position regarding the re-development of St. Michael's Estate; if he will give a commitment to ensure the rejuvenation of this area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23723/03]
At the suggestion of my Department, Dublin City Council is currently exploring the possibility of undertaking the redevelopment of St. Michaels Estate on the basis of a public private partnership. My Department has indicated to Dublin City Council that it continues to support the council's objectives for an integrated and effective redevelopment of this area.
