Ceist:60 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government when the office of environment enforcement promised in the agreed programme for Government will be established and operational; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23607/03]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 28 and 60 together.
Arrangements are currently being finalised for the establishment of, and commencement of operations by, the office of environmental enforcement. A formal announcement in this regard will be made shortly.
