Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Ceist:

105 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science if funding will be provided to provide additional classroom accommodation at Presentation secondary school, Milltown, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23667/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 104 and 105 together.

The extension project which includes the provision of a physical education hall at Presentation secondary school, Milltown, County Kerry, is listed in section six of the 2003 school building programme which is published on my Department's website at www.education.ie. This project is at an advanced stage of architectural planning, that is, stage five, bill of quantities. It has been assigned a band two rating by my Department in accordance with the published criteria for prioritising large-scale projects. Projects listed in sections six and seven will not be authorised to progress beyond their current stage of architectural planning at this time. Budgetary provisions in 2004 and subsequent years will determine the rate of progression to tender and construction of these projects in conjunction with the band rating individually assigned.
