The Commissioners of Public Works are currently in discussion with the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform and the Garda Commissioners about the commencement of a pilot scheme under an equity exchange programme in the following locations:
Bansha, Co. Tipperary.
Dundrum, Co. Tipperary.
Golden, Co. Tipperary.
New Inn, Co. Tipperary.
Doon, Co. Limerick.
Galbally, Co. Limerick.
Kilfinane, Co. Limerick.
Oola, Co. Limerick.
The programme involves the provision of new, local, basic unit Garda stations in exchange for the existing, unsuitable buildings.
