301 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo is being penalised simply due to the fact that their post did not arrive on time to notify them of a urology appointment on 19 September 2003; and if this person will be called for a urology appointment as urgently as possible. The provision of hospital services for persons resident in County Mayo is a matter for the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
