211 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the reason a salmon hatchery (details supplied) in County Cork has not opened in 2003; and if funding has been made available for this project. [24530/03]
The responsibility for operating the hatchery concerned rests entirely with the Southern Regional Fisheries Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply directly to the Deputy in the matters raised.
