234 Mr. Cuffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the overall figure within his Department for the percentages, quantities and costs of recycled and non-recycled paper and paper products used by his Department in the last period for which figures are available; and the plans his Department has to increase its use of recycled paper and paper products, and cut down on the use of non-recycled paper and paper products. In 2002, my Department, through contracts arranged by the Government Supplies Agency, expended €500,000 on all forms of paper and paper products, of which €183,000 was in respect of recycled paper-paper products. My Department will continue to favour the use of recycled paper in all cases where it can be justified on cost efficiency grounds.
