Vol. 573 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Michael Ring

Ceist:

436 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to the Mater Hospital for heart valve replacement surgery. [24935/03]

The provision of services for persons resident in County Mayo is a matter for the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and reply to the Deputy directly.

Liz McManus

Ceist:

437 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Health and Children the length of time a person (details supplied) will have to wait for a kidney removal at St. Vincent's Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24936/03]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons residing in counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
