465 Mr. N. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the position regarding an application for assistance under the housing aid for the elderly scheme which was submitted to the Southern Health Board almost two years ago by a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that to date no news of this application has been issued. As the Deputy will be aware, responsibility for the operation of the special housing aid scheme for the elderly in Cork rests with the Southern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly, as a matter of urgency.
