Vol. 573 No. 3

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Richard Bruton

Ceist:

467 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has obtained reports from the health authorities regarding the waiting time for eye tests, in which these are detected at primary school eye examinations; his views on whether the waiting times that prevail in some parts of the country are now excessive; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25213/03]

The information sought by the Deputy is not readily available. My Department has, therefore, written to the chief executive officers of the health boards and the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority asking for a report on the issue. This information will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as it is received.

Questions Nos. 468 and 469 answered with Question No. 462.
