549 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the Government still has confidence in the IICD to deal with the arms issue in relation to the peace process; and the position regarding the talks. [25566/03]
The Government has always had and retains full confidence in the ability of the Independent International Commission on Decommissioning to carry out its mandate. In relation to talks on political progress in the North, I refer the Deputy to statements made by the Taoiseach and the Minister for Foreign Affairs in this House on 22 October 2003.
