588 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reasons for the delay in completing a property registration in the name of persons (details supplied) in counties Laois and Kilkenny for a property at Seskin Little, Lisdowney, County Kilkenny; if a dealing number has been issued; the length of time it will take to complete the transaction; if there is a waiting list, the number who are on same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this is an application comprising two transmissions of part, a voluntary transfer and releases which was lodged on 18 July 2003. Dealing Number D2003TJ012887M refers. I am further informed that mapping queries and legal queries are issuing to the lodging solicitor today, 4 November 2003. I can assure the Deputy that on receipt of a satisfactory reply to these queries the matter will receive further attention in the Land Registry.

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the overall number of cases at various stages in the registration process in the Land Registry at 31 October 2003 was 169,132. Of this total, 35,881 were the subject of queries leaving a live arrear of 133,251.
