204 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the contract for the supply of bovine identification tags will be awarded; if he will consider awarding the contract to more than one agent; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25811/03]
The contract for the supply of bovine animal identification tags and birth registration documents has been awarded to Mullinahone Co-op, Mullinahone, County Tipperary. Notice of award of this contract was sent to the director, Office of Official Publications of the European Communities, on 27 August 2003 for publication in the Official Journal of the European Communities. In this instance, the Department has decided to award the contract to a single supplier.
