95 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the 2003 suckler cow and area-based payments will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Galway; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25962/03]
Further to my previous reply in this matter to Parliamentary Question No 121 on 8 October 2003, the file was issued for inspection by my Department. The inspection has since been carried out and the person named has been notified by the inspecting officer of the inspection results. As the overclaim has been confirmed, the land in question is now being redigitised. Official confirmation of the exact extent of the overclaim will shortly be notified to the person named. No payment under the 2003 area-based compensatory allowance scheme will issue until her 2003 area aid application has been fully processed.
The person named applied for premium on 15 animals under the 2003 suckler cow premium scheme on 6 January 2003. The application has been processed, however no payment can issue until the area aid issue has been finalised.
