269 Ms Cooper-Flynn asked the Minister for Education and Science if the full time special needs assistant and the increase in resource hours recommended by his Department's educational psychologist will be implemented for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [26059/03]
I am pleased to advise the Deputy that my Department sanctioned 2.5 hours resource teaching support for the pupil in ques tion on 21 August 2003. This is the maximum support available under Circular 08/02 for the category of special educational need in question. My Department also sanctioned access to special needs assistant support for the pupil on 7 October 2003.
