323 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the advice or briefings he received from his Department's Secretary General and assistant secretaries regarding the issue of the Corrib gas field, as referred to in the minutes of the management committee meetings held on 6 May, 27 May, 10 June, 17 July and 21 September. The management committee receives weekly briefings on all important and relevant business issues dealt with on a day-to-day basis by officials who are members.
In general these briefings consist of a high level report on ongoing matters. Any briefings on the Corrib gas field would have related to the An Bord Pleanála decision refusing planning permission for the Bellanaboy terminal.
There was no management committee meeting on 21 September.
