447 Mr. S. Power asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a decision will be made on an application by a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who applied for residency status based on their Irish born child. [26124/03]
The records in my Department indicate that the person in question made an application for permission to remain in the State on 12 April 2000 based on parentage of an Irish born child. His application was initially granted on 20 September 2000 for a period of 12 months. This period has been extended and he currently has residency until 26 July 2007.
