Ceist:

472 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the total number of gardaí deployed in Tallaght Garda station in each year for the past five years; his plans to increase the number of personnel working in this station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26432/03]

Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform (Mr. McDowell):

I have been informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of resources, including personnel, that the personnel strength of Tallaght Garda station as at 31 December each year for the past five years and currently is as set out hereunder.

The situation will be kept under review and when additional personnel next becomes available, the needs of Tallaght Garda station will be fully considered within the overall context of the needs of Garda divisions throughout the country.
