Ceist:478 Mr. Blaney asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his plans to replace the recently retired Garda at Carndonagh Garda station, County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26466/03]

I have been informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of resources, including personnel, that a replacement member for the recently retired member at Carndonagh Garda station has been identified by local Garda management and arrangements are being made accordingly.
Twelve additional gardaí were allocated to the Donegal Division on 12 September 2003 and it is the responsibility of the divisional officer to allocate personnel within a division as he/she sees fit.
