497 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government the disposal, transportation and shipping costs to the State with regard to electronic equipment, hospital waste, asbestos, batteries, paints, solvents, outdated pharmaceuticals, tyres and other toxic waste. The Environmental Protection Agency's national waste database report for 2001, which is the most recent comprehensive source of waste statistics in Ireland, contains information on waste flows, including imports and exports of waste, and an overview of waste management infrastructure. A copy of the report is available in the Oireachtas Library. Disposal, transportation and shipping cost details as referred to in the question are not available.
