504 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs if he has taken steps to replace the disbanded student summer jobs scheme; his plans to reintroduce the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26129/03]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 1331 of 30 September 2003. As I have outlined on a number of occasions, a replacement scheme for the student summer job scheme was never proposed.
