508 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs when the revised draft of the consultation paper on establishing a modern statutory framework for charities will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26401/03]
On 21 October 2003, in response to his Question No. 87, the Deputy was informed about the state of play arising from the interdepartmental consultation in July 2003. I would not wish to pre-empt the outcome of the discussion on the revised draft of the consultation paper. I assure the Deputy that every effort is being made to complete the discussion as soon as possible, thereby paving the way for submission to Government and subsequent publication of the consultation paper.
