Vol. 574 No. 2

Written Answers. - Health Board Services.

Gay Mitchell

Ceist:

299 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will direct an official for his Department to investigate the treatment of a person (details supplied) by the ERHA and SWAHB. [26838/03]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons residing in counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. The Deputy will be aware from previous responses to him that my Department has requested the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate this matter and to reply to him directly. My most recent response, on 30 September last, advised that the regional chief executive had been requested to expedite the reply. The authority advises that its investigation is being progressed as speedily as possible and that, on completion, the Deputy will be immediately furnished with details of the outcome.
