303 Mr. Murphy asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will report on a complaint by a person (details supplied) in County Cork to the Garda Síochána Complaints Board; the status of the file; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26642/03]

The board was set up under the Garda Complaints Act 1986 and it is independent in the exercise of its functions. Therefore, I could not, with propriety, comment on the matter raised by the Deputy.
