Vol. 574 No. 2

Written Answers. - Third Level Fees.

Arthur Morgan

Ceist:

131 Mr. Morgan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make it a priority during the lifetime of the Government to reduce the current level of the college registration fee. [26593/03]

The charge referred to by the Deputy is levied by third level institutions to defray the costs of examinations, registration and student services. These costs continue to be incurred by third level institutions and I have no plans to reduce the level of the charge.
