217 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare can be transferred to Maynooth Community Hospital in view of the particular family situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27073/03]

Responsibility for the provision of health services in the Kildare area rests with the SWAHB acting under the aegis of the ERHA. My Department has asked its chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him, as a matter of urgency.
