The responsibilities and functions of the NRA are set out in Part III, sections 16 to 42, of the Roads Act 1993.
The NRA is in the process of carrying out a review of the arrangements in place. It will include its internal structures, procedures and operations for the implementation of the national roads development programme.
My Department will consider amendments in legislation necessary as a result of this review.
