Vol. 575 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Seymour Crawford

Ceist:

120 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Cavan who was brought into Cavan General Hospital on 21 October 2003 was held there for over three weeks while waiting to have an angiogram in the Mater Hospital, Dublin; his views on whether this is an unacceptable delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28488/03]

Responsibility for the provision of hospital services to residents of County Cavan rests with the North Eastern Health Board. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
