Vol. 575 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dublin Port Tunnel.

Denis Naughten

Ceist:

156 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport if he will publish the Atkins report on the Dublin port tunnel; the recommendations included in the report; the cost of increasing the clearance height by 25 cm; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28802/03]

My Department engaged Atkins to review the feasibility, safety implications and cost of raising the height of the Dublin port tunnel. Following consideration of a draft report, which was received in the Department on 20 October 2003, Atkins is now preparing its final report. This will be completed shortly and will provide a basis for deciding whether an increase in the operational height of the tunnel is feasible. No decision has been taken on publication of the report.

Question No. 157 answered with Question No. 152.
