318 Mr. Murphy asked the Minister for the Environment Heritage and Local Government if the necessary allocation will be made to Cork County Council to carry out the necessary and long overdue works at Clara Road, Millstreet, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [29084/03]

In July this year, my Department sought from local authorities applications for funding under the EU co-financed specific improvement grants scheme in 2004. Cork County Council's submission, which was received in my Department on 19 September 2003, did not include an application for funding for Clara Road.
