Vol. 576 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Mary Wallace

Ceist:

165 Ms M. Wallace asked the Minister for Finance if either his Department or the Office of the Revenue Commissioners have vacancies of clerical officer with typing located in County Meath; if so, the locations of such positions; and if there are vacancies at present. [29155/03]

The Civil Service Commissioners are responsible for the holding of competitions for recruitment posts at clerical officer level in Government Departments and offices.

Clerical officer assignments can only be made by the Civil Service Commissioners in accordance with the demand for clerical staff from Government Departments and offices. The Civil Service Commissioners have no current requests to fill clerical officer typist vacancies in County Meath.

The Department of Finance does not have offices in County Meath. The Office of the Revenue Commissioners has one office in Navan, County Meath. This office has a staff complement of 8.5, of which 1.5 are clerical officers. There are no clerical officer vacancies in this office and no requirement for clerical officer typists.
