205 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Finance if he has consulted with the boards or management or staff of the agencies under the aegis of his Department in regard to proposals to decentralise; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30949/03]
I assure the Deputy that decentralisation programme will be implemented through the transfer of staff on a voluntary basis, and discussions will be held with the management-board as appropriate, with staff and public service unions on the programme. This process of consultation is already underway.
