Vol. 577 No. 3

Written Answers. - Child Care Services.

Pádraic McCormack

Ceist:

425 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Health and Children if the necessary funds will be made available to the Brothers of Charity, Galway, to enable them to continue their programme in the provision of services for disadvantaged children and young adults in Galway, particularly in relation to the funding for Byrne View unit, pre-school, Brothers of Charity, Galway, in which there is a limited service for children suffering from cerebal palsy and other disabilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30762/03]

Responsibility for the provision of funding to agencies providing services to persons with an intellectual disability and those with autism in the Galway region is a matter for the Western Health Board. Therefore, my Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
