589 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if she has consulted with the boards or management or staff of the agencies under the aegis of her Department in regard to proposals to decentralise; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [30959/03]
I refer the Deputy to my reply to him on Wednesday, 10 December 2003. The decentralisation programme was a key commitment in the programme for Government. Consultation with the management and staff of Comhairle and the Combat Poverty Agency will take place in respect of implementation issues. The public service monitoring group, established under Sustaining Progress, will address any public service wide issues which arise.
