97 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Education and Science if the planned meeting between his Department and the joint managerial body has taken place to discuss the issue of Exchequer financial support for such schools; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30931/03]
My officials have had a preliminary meeting with the JMB in regard to the matter referred to by the Deputy. The JMB agreed to consider the issues raised at the meeting and to provide information in relation to such schools to the Department. Further meetings are envisaged in order to discuss the matter further.
