99 Mr. O'Dowd asked the Minister for Education and Science if staff from the Department of Education and Science have been appointed as representatives on all the regional drugs task forces; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [28641/03]
My Department will be represented on the regional drugs task forces by staff of the ten regional offices of my Department which are currently being established. At present, my Department is represented on the southern and south-eastern regional drugs task forces and appointments will shortly be made to the north-western and mid-western task forces.
Appointments to other task forces will be made as the remaining regional offices are established. It is anticipated that most of the appointments will have been made by mid-2004.
