I have received from Deputy Gay Mitchell, who was suspended from the service of the Dáil yesterday for disregarding the authority of the Chair, a written and approved expression of regret. In accordance with Standing Order 61(3)(b), I must now move: “That the order of the Dáil of 7 April suspending Deputy Gay Mitchell from the service of the Dáil be discharged”. Is that agreed? Agreed.
Business of Dáil.
I appreciate your common sense in this. Let it be a lesson for everybody that when parliamentary questions are asked, they should be answered properly within the given time.
