Chemicals Bill 2008: Financial Resolution.

I move:

That provision be made in the Act giving effect to this Resolution for the charging in accordance with the Act, subject to the approval of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, the Minister for Finance and in consultation with any other relevant Minister, by a national authority of such fees as it considers appropriate in consideration of the performance by that national authority of its functions, and the provision by it of services (other than a service consisting of the provision of advice to a Minister of the Government or to another national authority); for the exempting from the payment of such fees in different circumstances or classes of circumstances or for different cases or classes of cases, or for the waiver, remission or refund (in whole or in part) of fees; such fees referred to being in respect of functions performed, services provided, not being, save with the prior approval of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, in consultation with any other relevant Minister, less than the cost of the performance of the function, the provision of the service.
