Introduction of New Members.

The Clerk of the Dáil will announce the returns to by-election writs for the constituencies of Dublin Central and Dublin South.

Iarraim anois ar Chléireach na Dála na forógraí ar na heascairí corrthoghcháin do dháilcheantair Bhaile Átha Cliath Theas agus do Bhaile Átha Cliath Láir a fhógairt.

The Clerk of the Dáil made the following announcement: I gcomhlíonadh Bhuan-Ordú 170 de Bhuan-Orduithe Dháil Éireann i dtaobh Gnó Phoiblí, tá orm a chraoladh go ndearnadh, sna Corrthoghcháin a bhí ann ar 5 Meitheamh 2009, de chionn an Teachta Antóin Ó Gregóir agus Séamus Ó Braonáin d'fháil bháis, na comhaltaí seo a leanas a thoghadh don Dáil:

In compliance with Standing Order 170 of the Standing Orders of Dáil Éireann relative to Public Business, I have to announce that at the By-Elections held on 5 June 2009, consequent on the deaths of Deputy Tony Gregory and Deputy Séamus Brennan, the following members have been elected to the Dáil:

Dáilcheantar Bhaile Átha Cliath Láir

Constituency of Dublin Central — Maureen O'Sullivan.

Dáilcheantar Bhaile Átha Cliath Theas

Constituency of Dublin South — George Lee.

The Deputies have signed the Roll of Members in accordance with Standing Order 1.

I wish to inform the House that pursuant to section 11 of the European Parliament Elections Act 1997, as amended by the Act of 2004, a vacancy arises in the membership for the constituency of Donegal South West, following the election of Deputy Pat the Cope Gallagher, to the European Parliament.

Move the writ straight away.

The new Members should now come into the House.
