Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Colm Keaveney - the forced redundancy dispute in Rehab recycling, Galway; (2) Deputy Patrick Nulty - the decision to disband the panel for recruitment to the Dublin Fire Brigade Service; (3) Deputy Pat Deering - the need to maintain adequate mental health services in the Carlow area; (4) Deputy Mary Mitchell O'Connor - the need to highlight pro-eating disorder websites; (5) Deputy Bernard J. Durkan - issues surrounding the rights of burglars and those of householders; (6) Deputy Regina Doherty - the effect of the changes announced in Circular 2012/12, particularly as it applies to Gaelscoil na Rithe, Dunshaughlin, County Meath; (7) Deputy Eamonn Maloney - the need for RTE to televise this year's national famine commemoration; (8) Deputy Pat Breen - the new regulations in regard to the allocation of resource hours and teachers in primary schools; (9) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - the need to resolve the problems in the Belmayne estate, Dublin; (10) Deputy Peadar Tóibín - the need to develop a new school for St. Mary's special school, Johnstown, Navan, County Meath; (11) Deputy Kevin Humphreys - the proposed incinerator at Poolbeg, Dublin; (12) Deputy Charles Flanagan - the future of small rural Protestant schools; (13) Deputy Jack Wall - the provision of funding in respect women's refuge centres; (14) Deputy Patrick O'Donovan - the future participation of Irish citizens who are overseas in referendums and elections; (15) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the problems faced by residents of Priory Hall; (16) Deputy Michael McCarthy - the steps being taken to prevent the outbreak of a new animal disease in Britain from spreading to Ireland; (17) Deputies Jerry Buttimer and Éamon Ó Cuív - the need to protect households from low user standing charges for electricity; (18) Deputy Michael Healy-Rae - the refusal of planning permission for the national children's hospital; (19) Deputy Michael McNamara - the need to consider that rents collected by local authorities from their tenants should be deducted at source; (20) Deputy Martin Ferris - career guidance teachers; (21) Deputy Billy Kelleher - the refusal of planning permission for the national children's hospital; (22) Deputy Paul J. Connaughton - the closure of St. Anne's nursing home, Woodford, County Galway; (23) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - the Providence Resources application for a foreshore licence for drilling in Dublin Bay; (24) Deputy Dara Calleary - robberies from domestic oil tanks; (25) Deputy Clare Daly - the industrial dispute at Storbart Haulage, Ballymun, Dublin; (26) Deputy Mick Wallace - the provision of social housing units by NAMA; and (27) Deputy Alan Farrell - broadband and mobile coverage in Naul, County Dublin.
