Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputies Martin Heydon, Pat Deering, Paudie Coffey, Michael Colreavy, Martin Ferris, John Paul Phelan, Brian Stanley and Peadar Tóibín - the need for meaningful engagement by EirGrid with the communities which have real concerns about the proposed Grid Link routes; (2) Deputy Gerald Nash - the absence at local authority level of guidelines on the introduction of through-floor lifts in housing adaptations; (3) Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan - the need to address homelessness in the Dublin area; (4) Deputy Seán Kenny - the disruption caused to Dublin DART services owing to a bridge strike; (5) Deputy Marcella Corcoran Kennedy - the need to provide grant aid for the installation of renewable energy products; (6) Deputy Patrick O'Donovan - the need to have proper country of origin labelling; (7) Deputy Patrick Nulty - the need to address record overcrowding at Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown; (8) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the cost to date of the proposed incinerator on the Poolbeg Peninsula, Dublin; (9) Deputy Dan Neville - the establishment of a rehabilitation adult mental health service as recommended in A Vision for Change; (10) Deputy Brendan Smith - to ask the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade to discuss the recent statement of the Attorney General to the Northern Executive on the cessation of prosecutions of crimes committed before the Good Friday Agreement; and (11) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss the recent Threshold annual report and the standard of private rented accommodation.

The matters raised by Deputies Martin Heydon, Pat Deering, Paudie Coffey, Michael Colreavy, Martin Ferris, John Paul Phelan, Brian Stanley and Peadar Tóibín; Brendan Smith; and Gerald Nash have been selected for discussion.
