Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Helen McEntee - that special provision is made for a separated person who has applied for social housing; (2) Deputy Simon Harris - the need to provide an update on the provisions to assist primary schools in the teaching of foreign languages; (3) Deputies Ciara Conway and Paudie Coffey - the need to address the situation in dermatology at University Hospital, Waterford; (4) Deputy Seán Kyne - the need to immediately commence insulin-pump treatment for young persons over the age of five with diabetes in the HSE West region; (5) Deputy Regina Doherty - the teaching allocation for a school (details supplied) in County Meath; (6) Deputy Colm Keaveney - the report by the inspectorate of mental health services on services in 24 hour supervised residences or hostels; (7) Deputy Brendan Griffin - the jailing of three al-Jazeera journalists in Egypt; (8) Deputy Brian Stanley - the services for autistic children in County Laois; (9) Deputy Denis Naughten - the need to approve funding for a new school at Cloonakilla NS County Roscommon; (10) Deputy Jim Daly - the need to reinstate An Post services at Leap, County Cork; (11) Deputy Timmy Dooley - the need to prevent the closure of the Cratloe post office, County Clare; (12) Deputy Thomas Pringle - the need to maintain the shuttle bus service at Glenveagh National Park, County Donegal; (13) Deputy Seán Crowe - the delays wheelchair users are facing when getting their wheelchairs repaired; (14) Deputy Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin - the management of mental health services in the Carlow-Kilkenny-South Tipperary area; (15) Deputy Michael Lowry - the need for a scheme to replace the mobility allowance and motorised transport grant; (16) Deputy Patrick O'Donovan - the need to have current valuation process leading to the calculation of commercial rates in Limerick city and county addressed; (17) Deputies Seán Ó Fearghaíl and Dan Neville - the report by the inspectorate of mental health services on the high number of children being admitted to adult inpatient units; (18) Deputy Barry Cowen - the increase in homelessness; (19) Deputy Noel Harrington - the status of job creation projects in the West Cork region in the context of the recently published NESC report on employment in households; (20) Deputy Peadar Tóibín - the need to resolve the causes of the strike action at Roadstone Wood; (21) Deputy Joe Carey - the need to prevent the closure of the Cratloe post office, County Clare; (22) Deputy Charlie McConalogue - overcrowding at Letterkenny General Hospital accident and emergency unit; (23) Deputy Dessie Ellis - the planned closure of the motor tax office in Ballymun Civic Centre, Dublin 11; (24) Deputy Clare Daly - the closure of courthouses in Swords and Balbriggan, County Dublin; (25) Deputy Shane Ross - the pupil-teacher ratio in fee-charging schools; (26) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - the ongoing national industrial dispute at Cement Roadstone Holdings; and (27) Deputy Stephen S. Donnelly - the need to ensure no taxes are levied on recent fundraising of €300,000 for a person in County Wicklow.
