Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gino Kenny - compassionate access to cannabis based medicines for certain conditions; (2) Deputy Brendan Griffin - the inclusion of the Orkambi drug on the long-term illness scheme; (3) Deputy Maurice Quinlivan - difficulties in the accident and emergency department in University Hospital Limerick in Dooradoyle; (4) Deputy Pat Casey - the sale of Ardmore studios in Bray and the implications for the Irish film industry; (5) Deputy Bernard J. Durkan - the impact of objections and concerns over a prominent site at Naas, County Kildare; (6) Deputy Michael D'Arcy - the need to address the establishment of an acute admissions unit in County Wexford; (7) Deputy Jim O'Callaghan - the need to address the delays in sanctioning the appointment of vacant chief superintendent posts; (8) Deputies Tony McLoughlin and Marc MacSharry - the need for postal services to remain in Ballygawley, County Sligo; (9) Deputy Alan Farrell - the need for the DAA to address concerns of residents regarding a second runway for Dublin Airport; (10) Deputy Carol Nolan - the proposed outsourcing of haulage in Bord na Móna; (11) Deputy Frank O'Rourke - the need to address problems with the centralised tender for book supplies to public libraries; (12) Deputy Maureen O'Sullivan - the demolition of homes and schools in the West Bank; (13) Deputy Fergus O'Dowd - the need to increase speech and language therapy services in County Louth; (14) Deputy John Curran - the treatment of non-Teachers Union of Ireland members in Collinstown community college, Dublin 22; (15) Deputy Imelda Munster - the plans, if any, to build on land zoned for social housing in County Louth; (16) Deputies Martin Kenny and Bríd Smith - the need to address concerns regarding the health of a person (details supplied) on hunger strike in Globe House direct provision centre in Sligo; (17) Deputy Josepha Madigan - the anti-social behaviour in Stepaside, County Dublin; (18) Deputy Clare Daly - the need to discuss recent calls for an inquiry into the issue of forced adoptions in Ireland; (19) Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett - the need to address the recent Environmental Protection Agency report regarding deaths due to air quality; (20) Deputy Mick Wallace - the need to discuss the review into rail services and the impact on certain rail routes; (21) Deputy Timmy Dooley - the need to discuss broadband speeds nationwide; (22) Deputy Ruth Coppinger - the need to address the reported alteration of vaccine trial information; (23) Deputy Martin Heydon - to discuss the need for improved youth services in County Kildare; and (24) Deputy Peter Burke - the need to address ongoing issues between the HSE and the board of North Westmeath Hospice regarding staffing.

The matters raised by Deputies Gino Kenny, Fergus O'Dowd, Michael D'Arcy and Jim O'Callaghan have been selected for discussion.
