Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Fergus O'Dowd - to introduce legislation to give city status to Drogheda; (2) Deputy Martin Ferris - ongoing delays in agriculture payments; (3) Deputy Mary Butler - the financial situation of St. Carthage's rest home Lismore, County Waterford; (4) Deputy Sean Fleming - changes in the allocation of resources from 2016 to 2017 under the special education teaching resource model; (5) Deputies Aengus Ó Snodaigh, Clare Daly, Richard Boyd Barrett, Eamon Ryan and Mick Wallace - allegations of phone tapping by An Garda Síochána; (6) Deputy David Cullinane - development on the north quays in Waterford; (7) Deputy Niamh Smyth - waiting times for needs assessments for children; (8) Deputy Frank O'Rourke - reviewing the provision of the home care package; (9) Deputy Gino Kenny - the shortage of myalgic encephalomyelitis, M.E., specialists here; (10) Deputy Robert Troy - the future of the An Post network; (11) Deputy Bobby Aylward - the closure of the Camphill Community, Callan, County Kilkenny; (12) Deputy Martin Kenny - the Garda vetting process; (13) Deputy Jack Chambers - the appointment of non-specialist doctors as consultants; (14) Deputy Brian Stanley - the most recent ransomeware cyber attacks; (15) Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin - school places for children with special needs in the Newbridge area; (16) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - communications with homeless families in emergency accommodation; (17) Deputy Pat Buckley - recent increases in suicides in the Cork area; (18) Deputy Noel Rock - the primary care centre in Finglas; (19) Deputy Eamon Scanlon - decentralisation of Government offices to the north west; (20) Deputy Bríd Smith - to provide an update on the situation of Ibrahim Halawa; and (21) Deputy Catherine Connolly - the impact of the recent forest fires in County Galway.

The matters raised by Deputies Fergus O'Dowd, Aengus Ó Snodaigh, Clare Daly, Richard Boyd Barrett, Eamon Ryan and Mick Wallace and Deputy Catherine Connolly have been selected for discussion.
