Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputies Richard Boyd Barrett, Eamon Ryan, Barry Cowen and Eoin Ó Broin - the recent tragic deaths of homeless persons and the crisis in Dublin; (2) Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív - funding for Traveller-specific issues highlighted in the Traveller community survey; (3) Deputy David Cullinane - child psychology services in Waterford; (4) Deputy Mary Butler - the closure of the Waterford ISPCC branch on 1 December; (5) Deputy Kevin O'Keeffe - staffing and respite care services at St. Patricks Community Hospital, Fermoy, County Cork; (6) Deputy Thomas P. Broughan - to discuss the problem of joyriding and anti-social behaviour in Dublin Bay North; (7) Deputies John Lahart and Seán Crowe - the funding of the Tallaght drugs and alcohol task force; (8) Deputy James Lawless - the need to discuss decisions on the Leixlip and Celbridge local area plans; (9) Deputy Willie O'Dea - to discuss the issues related to the CIÉ defined benefit pensions scheme; (10) Deputy Frank O'Rourke - to discuss the redeployment of Garda resources in the run-up to Christmas; (11) Deputy Dara Calleary - the HIQA report on Arás Attracta, Swinford, County Mayo; (12) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - to discuss the advertisement of positions on community employment schemes; (13) Deputy Brian Stanley - the need to discuss flood prevention measures in Mountmellick and other areas of County Laois; (14) Deputy Clare Daly - to discuss the expert technical group's report on the mother and baby home site at Tuam, County Galway; (15) Deputy Louise O'Reilly - to discuss the move from secondary to primary care in the health service; (16) Deputy Mattie McGrath - to provide an update on the relocation of Clonmel Garda station; (17) Deputy John Brady - to discuss the downgrading of DART stations; and (18) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss the pay and conditions of Defence Forces' personnel.

The matters raised by Deputies Richard Boyd Barrett, Eamon Ryan, Barry Cowen and Eoin Ó Broin; Kevin O'Keeffe and John Brady have been selected for discussion.
