Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 29A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Michael Moynihan - the status of the amalgamated primary school in Kanturk, County Cork; (2) Deputy Carol Nolan - the reason for delays with the modifications to Gaelscoil na Laochra, Birr, County Offaly; (3) Deputies John Curran, Eoin Ó Broin, John Lahart and Paul Murphy - the need for a secondary school for Citywest and Saggart in County Dublin; (4) Deputies Martin Ferris and John Brassil - staffing resources at University Hospital Kerry; (5) Deputy James Lawless - to discuss online threats to democracy; (6) Deputies Gino Kenny and Mick Barry - cannabis based medicine; (7) Deputy Pat The Cope Gallagher - to discuss the status of the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital; (8) Deputy Marcella Corcoran Kennedy - the need for a single online portal for local and national public consultations; (9) Deputy Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire - to discuss the waiting list for driving tests at RSA Sarsfield Road driving test centre; (10) Deputy Mattie McGrath - to discuss funding for the works at St. Teresa's Hospital, Clogheen, County Tipperary; (11) Deputy Clare Daly - to discuss Ireland's involvement in PESCO and Ireland's neutrality; (12) Deputy Robert Troy - to discuss the recent decision to withdraw 55 m Luas carriages from service; (13) Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin - to discuss reassurances sought for the Bord na Móna workforce in Kildare; (14) Deputies Barry Cowen, Joan Burton and Dessie Ellis - fire safety in high-rise buildings; (15) Deputy Mick Wallace - to discuss the 15 years of US military use of Shannon airport; (16) Deputy Brian Stanley - to discuss the future of Abbeyleix hospital in County Laois; and (17) Deputy Pat Buckley - to discuss the need to expand the rent pressure zones in east Cork.

The matters raised by Deputies Michael Moynihan, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy, Fiona O'Loughlin and Barry Cowen, Joan Burton and Dessie Ellis have been selected for discussion.
