The Standing Business Committee has completed its consideration under Standing Order 30 of the request by the Minister for Justice and Equality to waive the requirement under Standing Order 173 to provide the general scheme or draft heads of the Personal Insolvency (Amendment) (No. 1) Bill 2020 for pre-legislative scrutiny. Following consultation with the justice committee and the provision of briefing to that committee, the Standing Business Committee has agreed to the request.
