Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 27A and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputies Michael McNamara and Joe Carey - to discuss the reinstatement of Doolin Coast Guard; (2) Deputy Jennifer Murnane O'Connor - to discuss plans to provide Carlow town with a design 2 ambulance base; (3) Deputy Marc Ó Cathasaigh - to discuss the next steps in the process following the establishment of the technical university in the south east; (4) Deputy Emer Higgins - to discuss encouraging the uptake and use of vitamin D this winter; (5) Deputy Niamh Smyth - to discuss the development of Cavan Institute as a hub for further education and training; (6) Deputy Kathleen Funchion - to discuss the issue of child abduction; (7) Deputy Pat Buckley - to discuss the ongoing concerns of locals, service users and residents over the planned closure of the Owenacurra mental health unit in Midleton, County Cork; (8) Deputy Chris Andrews - to discuss the decision by the Israeli state to designate six Palestinian human rights groups operating in the West Bank as terror organisations; (9) Deputy Aodhán Ó Ríordáin - to discuss an update for the proposed Garda station for Dublin 7 and 13 at Northern Cross; (10) Deputy Réada Cronin - to discuss staffing issues at Naas General Hospital and readiness for the winter season; and (11) Deputy James O'Connor - to discuss the need to improve connectivity both north and south of the Border with the introduction of a Cork-Belfast aviation route.

The matters raised by Deputies McNamara and Carey, Ó Cathasaigh, Andrews and Murnane O'Connor have been selected for discussion.
