Ábhair Shaincheisteanna Tráthúla - Topical Issue Matters

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 37 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Pádraig Mac Lochlainn - to ask the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine what actions he intends undertaking to support the fuel prices crisis in the marine fishing and aquaculture industries; (2) Deputy Jennifer Murnane O'Connor - to ask the Minister for health to give an update on the new site for the new ambulance base for Carlow town and the delays people are experiencing waiting on ambulances; (3) Deputies Paul Murphy and Darren O'Rourke - to discuss revelations about Uber lobbying; (4) Deputy John Paul Phelan - to ask the Minister for Social Protection about the current method of calculation under self employment PRSI regulations; (5) Deputy Holly Cairns - to discuss the findings of the Unplanned Pregnancy and Abortion Care (UnPAC) study of the Health Regulation (Termination of Pregnancy) Act 2018 with the Minister for Health; (6) Deputy Jennifer Carroll MacNeill - to discuss with the Minister of State with responsibility for the Office of Public Works the current status of the proposal regarding the Irish Children’s Museum following conclusion of arbitration; (7) Deputy David Stanton - to ask the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to discuss the urgent need to halt the decommissioning of the Kinsale gas pipeline so that the infrastructure may be used to address security of gas supply issues that may arise; (8) Deputies Mairéad Farrell, Éamon Ó Cuív and Catherine Connolly - the urgent need to progress with the ambulance base at Recess, County Galway for the extra ambulance and emergency vehicle located in Connemara since the end of the year; (9) Deputy Carol Nolan - an update from the Department of Education on the provision of a new school building for Gaelscoil na Laochra, Birr, County Offaly; (10) Deputy Colm Burke - to ask the Minister for Health what action it is proposed to be taken by the Department and the HSE to assist nurses, doctors and care assistants who work in the health service who contracted Covid while working and now suffer from long-Covid and recently had state support withdrawn; (11) Deputy Seán Crowe - the need for an additional driving test centre in south Dublin; (12) Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan - to ask the Minister of State with responsibility for disability if she is aware that children in Carrigaline Community Special School are unable to access respite services due to the patronage of the school; (13) Deputy Brian Stanley - to discuss with the Minister for Health the lack of dental services for children and the current difficulties with the dental treatment services Scheme in Laois and Offaly; (14) Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh - to raise the issues around the terms of reference for the sodium valproate inquiry; (15) Deputy Pat Buckley - to discuss the recent report of the Mental Health Commission; (16) Deputy Michael Moynihan - to ask the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage for an update on infrastructure works in Castlemagner, County Cork to provide for additional housing development in the village; (17) Deputy Matt Shanahan - the continuing lethargy in delivering a promised expansion of hours to the cardiology suite at University Hospital Waterford; (18) Deputy Marian Harkin - to discuss the delay in payment of compensation for farmers affected by the Shass Mountain landslide in County Leitrim; (19) Deputy Michael McNamara - to discuss the discrepancy in funding for early years childcare; (20) Deputy Claire Kerrane - to discuss the detention of an Irish resident in Iraq in contravention with international law according to the UN; (21) Deputies Donnchadh Ó Laoghaire and Thomas Gould - to discuss the need to agree an SLA with ChildVision in Cork; (22) Deputy Peadar Tóibín - to discuss the State’s handling of historic child abuse allegations made by persons who were once in the State’s foster care system; and (23) Deputy Michael Ring - to ask the Minister for Health when funding will be approved to the four new consultant anaesthesiology posts in Mayo University Hospital.

The matters raised by Deputies Murnane O'Connor; Mairéad Farrell, Éamon Ó Cuív and Catherine Connolly; Paul Phelan John; and Paul Murphy and Darren O'Rourke have been selected for discussion.
